Basketball Recap: Broadwater Academy Vikings vs. Hampton Christian Academy Warriors
Broadwater Academy lost against Hampton Christian Academy back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Broadwater Academy Vikings took a blow against the Hampton Christian Academy Warriors, falling 72-41. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 225th, while the Warriors are ranked 108th).
Broadwater Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Kacey Ford and Miranda Smith. Ford posted 16 points, while Smith went 5 of 8 on her way to 10 points and six boards. That was a full 39% of Broadwater Academy's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
