Baseball Recap: Norte Vista Takes a Loss

Norte Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Patriot Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, with their most recent loss being a 8-1 defeat last Tuesday.

Norte Vista saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Henderson, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Norte Vista's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Patriot, they pushed their record up to 10-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Norte Vista will head out to take on Ramona at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Patriot, they will venture away from home to challenge Arrowhead Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
