Acalanes is on a six-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Clayton Valley Charter is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Dons will welcome the Ugly Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Acalanes' defense has only allowed 15 points per game this season, so Clayton Valley Charter's offense will have their work cut out for them.
Last Friday, Acalanes didn't have too much trouble with Campolindo as they won 45-28.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Acalanes was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 306 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 194 rushing yards in five consecutive games.
Special teams also played a big role in the game for Acalanes, adding 15 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Finley Rivera, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Clayton Valley Charter beat Campolindo 21-16 on Friday.
The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Jhadis Luckey and Micah Parker. Luckey had a great game and rushed for 181 yards and one touchdown. Meanwhile, Parker was balling out in the loss, rushing for 141 yards on only 15 carries.

Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Acalanes has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 198.4 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Clayton Valley Charter struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 274.4 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Acalanes barely slipped by Clayton Valley Charter in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 28-27. Do the Dons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Ugly Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
