Volleyball Recap: Nipmuc Regional Warriors vs. Millbury Woolies
After flying high against Ayer Shirley last Tuesday, Nipmuc Regional came back down to earth. The Nipmuc Regional Warriors fell 3-1 to the Millbury Woolies on Thursday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Woolies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September.
Nipmuc Regional was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Millbury work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 20-25, 27-25, 25-16.
Annabel Palmer paced Nipmuc Regional's offense, picking up 11 kills. Palmer got some help from
Gabrielle Leet and her 24 assists.
Nipmuc Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 17-3. As for Millbury, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-5.
As of now, neither Nipmuc Regional nor Millbury have any future games scheduled.
