Basketball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Anna's 16th in Last 20 Outings

Anna hadn't done well against Walnut Grove recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Anna Coyotes managed a 38-34 win over the Walnut Grove Wildcats. The victory was familiar territory for the Coyotes who have now won three matchups in a row.

Anna's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Reagan Wright, who posted 14 points and four steals. Wright has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. Ayonna Cooper was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Anna is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 20 games, which provided a nice bump to their 23-9 record this season. As for Walnut Grove, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 23-9.

Anna wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 64-31 win against Denison on the 4th. Walnut Grove has also already played their next matchup, a 34-28 defeat against Melissa on the 4th.
