Basketball Recap: Eight Straight Home Wins for Center Line

Center Line entered their tilt with Eastpointe on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Everything went their way against the Eastpointe Shamrocks as they made off with a 74-48 victory. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 24 points or more this season.

Center Line was led to victory by TE'REZ HOLMES and KAMEREN HIGGINBOTHAM. HOLMES dropped a double-double on 21 points and 17 rebounds, while HIGGINBOTHAM dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten assists. The game was HOLMES's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was ISAIAH ASHFORD, who went 6 of 12 en route to 13 points and five boards.

Center Line smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Center Line pushed their record up to 9-4 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.4 points per game. As for Eastpointe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Center Line will face off against South Lake at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Center Line has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Eastpointe has already played their next contest (against Mott), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
