Volleyball Recap: Lambert Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Lambert was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Northview on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Longhorns fell just short of the West Forsyth Wolverines by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Longhorns were not able to make up for their loss to the Wolverines from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Lambert sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 23-25, 25-19, 21-25, 15-8.

Leading West Forsyth to victory were Charlie Holcomb and Maddie Baggett. Holcomb had 12 digs and three aces, while Baggett had nine digs, four aces, and one block. Those 12 digs gave Holcomb a new career-high. Valentina Meyer also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Lambert's defeat dropped their record down to 11-18. As for West Forsyth, the win got them back to even at 17-17.

As of now, neither Lambert nor the Wolverines have any future games scheduled.
