It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but West Catholic ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They skirted past the Greenville Yellow Jackets 2-1. Those two runs were actually the fewest the Falcons have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

The victory made it two in a row for West Catholic and bumps their season record up to 4-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Greenville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-3.

Coming up, West Catholic will venture away from home to challenge Thornapple Kellogg at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Greenville has already played their next matchup (against Mason), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
