Recap: Santa Fe Indians vs. Texas City Stingarees

The Santa Fe Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a 35-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of Texas City. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Santa Fe has scored all season.

Santa Fe's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cooper Baldridge, who scored five points along with two blocks. Kenny Torres was another key contributor, scoring five points along with nine rebounds and three blocks.

Santa Fe's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 10-15. As for Texas City, their win bumped their record up to 11-15.

Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Manvel the next time they take the court. Santa Fe will host Manvel at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while Texas City will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
