Softball Recap: Yreka Takes a Loss

Yreka came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 13-4 to the University Prep Panthers. The loss continues a trend for the Miners in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost five in a row.

Hadley Shaw was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Macey Howell, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one double.

Yreka's defeat dropped their record down to 5-21. As for University Prep, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-10-2.

As of now, neither Yreka nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
