Volleyball Recap: Marley Tuliau's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Tahquitz over Hesperia

Tahquitz was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Hesperia Scorpions.

Tahquitz lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Marley Tuliau, who had seven kills, four blocks, and two aces. She has been hot for a while, having posted six or more kills the last ten times she's played. Bella Cederholm was another key player, getting 11 digs.

Hesperia found their leader in sophomore Dylanna Akwaboah, who had 19 assists and five digs.

Tahquitz's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Hesperia, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Tahquitz wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Aquinas on the 23rd. As for Hesperia, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Valley View on the 23rd.
