Post Falls came out on top against Sandpoint  on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run seventh inning. The Trojans took their   contest against the Bulldogs   9-4. This was a revenge game for the Trojans: when they faced off against the Bulldogs  on Thursday, they had to take a  7-6  loss.
 Rylan Morrison spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned  (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.
 On the hitting side, Post Falls let  McKenna Zimmerman and  Jaya Felix run wild. Zimmerman  went 2-for-4 with one  home run and three  RBI, while  Felix  went 3-for-4 with three  runs, one  triple,  and one  double. That's the most  hits  Felix has posted since back in March.
 Post Falls  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. They are  a perfect 6-0 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
Post Falls is  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Sandpoint, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-18.
 Looking ahead, Post Falls will take on Lake City at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Sandpoint does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
