Baseball Recap: Laurel Hill Hoboes vs. Ponce De Leon Pirates
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Laurel Hill). They put the hurt on the Ponce De Leon Pirates with a sharp 15-2 win on Thursday. This was payback for the Hoboes, who suffered a 13-8 loss the last time these two teams met.
Cooper Degraaf made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. He also put up two RBI, which were his first of the season.

In other batting news, Laurel Hill got a massive performance out of Weston Graves, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Graves a new career-high in hits (four). Another player making a difference was Nathan Gemina, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.
