Soccer Game Preview: Grassfield vs. Oscar Smith

The Grassfield Grizzlies will take on the Oscar Smith Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Grassfield comes in on six and Oscar Smith on three.

Grassfield's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Western Branch, sneaking past 1-0. Kristo Litchmore had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Grassfield.

Meanwhile, Oscar Smith got the win against King's Fork on Thursday by a conclusive 6-0. Considering Oscar Smith have won five matchups by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Oscar Smith pushed their record up to 7-3-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five contests. As for Grassfield, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2-2.

Grassfield was able to grind out a solid win over Oscar Smith in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Grizzlies repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
