Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Eagles are ranked 154th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Booker T. Washington got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mi'Kel Bonner out in front who posted 11 points and eight boards. That's the most rebounds Bonner has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Mikerria Bonner, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 12 boards.
