Softball Recap: St. Charles North Falls Short Against Ranked Glenbard North

St. Charles North faced Glenbard North in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The North Stars fell 8-5 to the Panthers. The North Stars have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Addy Umlauf made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ivy Gleeson, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

St. Charles North's loss dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Glenbard North, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

St. Charles North didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-3 defeat against Kenosha Bradford on the 17th. As for Glenbard North, they will host Batavia at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
