Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Red Mountain's Seventh in Last Nine Outings

Red Mountain won the last time they faced Dobson, and Bjorn Molenaar did his part to make sure it happened again. The Red Mountain Mountain Lions put the hurt on the Dobson Mustangs with a sharp 55-33 win on Tuesday thanks in part to Molenaar, who went 6 for 8 en route to 12 points and six rebounds. That's the most points he has posted since back in February of 2024.

Dobson lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kayah Key, who posted six points. Akino Drake was another key player, putting up four points and three steals.

Red Mountain is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Dobson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-10.

Red Mountain has already played their next contest, a 43-35 victory against Mountain View on the 22nd. As for Dobson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 67-36 win against Westwood on the 23rd.
