The Yorktown Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 19th straight defeat. They took a serious blow against Skidmore-Tynan, falling 66-31. Yorktown has struggled against Skidmore-Tynan recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Skidmore-Tynan's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cole Rivers, who scored 19 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Rivers is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Steven Garza, who scored 18 points along with five assists and three steals.

Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.8 points per game. As for Skidmore-Tynan, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season.
Yorktown didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-39 loss vs. Woodsboro on the 9th. Skidmore-Tynan has also already played their next matchup, a 63-39 win against Three Rivers on the 9th.
