Baseball Game Preview: Pisgah Bears vs. East Henderson Eagles

The Pisgah Bears will square off against the East Henderson Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pisgah's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so East Henderson's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Last Tuesday, Pisgah came up short against Tuscola and fell 6-1. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East Henderson). They blew past Swain County 16-9 on Wednesday. The Eagles not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 24, 2024.

East Henderson's victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-10. As for Pisgah, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Pisgah took their win against East Henderson in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 8-1 score. Will the Bears repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
