Baseball Recap: San Ramon Valley Comes Up Short

San Ramon Valley lost against Granada back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Wolves took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Matadors.

San Ramon Valley got a good showing from Ryan Gehrke, who tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Gehrke has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, San Ramon Valley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Tsunemoto, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

San Ramon Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Granada, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-3.

San Ramon Valley has already played their next game (against Acalanes), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Granada, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 13-4 victory against Liberty on the 19th.
