Basketball Recap: Westminster Schools of Augusta Makes It 14 in a Row at Home

Westminster Schools of Augusta extended their home winning streak to 14 games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from India Williams. The Westminster Schools of Augusta Wildcats walked away with a 49-39 win over the St. Andrew's Lions on Tuesday thanks in part to Williams, who posted 28 points and six steals. The matchup was her 15th in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Carolina Jordan, who had three points and six steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in steals.

Westminster Schools of Augusta's victory bumped their record up to 13-2. As for St. Andrew's, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westminster Schools of Augusta will take on Frederica Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Frederica Academy will roll in looking for their 16th straight win, something Westminster Schools of Augusta surely won't give up without a fight. St. Andrew's has already played their next contest (against The Habersham School), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
