The Lane Tech Champions got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the New Trier Trevians' three. Having soared to a lofty six goals in the game before, New Trier's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Having lost for the first time this season, New Trier fell to 17-1-2. As for Lane Tech, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 13-1-2.
