Greenback is 9-1 against Rockwood since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Cherokees will face off against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Greenback will be strutting in after a victory while Rockwood will be coming in after a defeat.

Greenback is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Midway on Wednesday. The Cherokees walked away with an 11-6 win over the Green Wave.

Greenback let Karli Hammontree and Juliana Page run wild. Hammontree went 2-for-5 with four RBI, one run, and one double, while Page scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave Page a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addison Brown, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Rockwood's offense. They came up short against Harriman on Wednesday, falling 10-0.

Greenback picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Rockwood, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Greenback took their win against Rockwood in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 23-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cherokees since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
