Softball Game Preview: Sylacauga Aggies vs. Valley Rams

For the second straight game, Sylacauga will face off against Valley. The Aggies will head out to challenge the Rams at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Sylacauga has four straight victories, Valley has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Thursday, Sylacauga beat Valley 6-3.

Natalee Deason spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits. Those hits marked the first that she allowed this season.

On the hitting side, Kinley Hathcock was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. Madilyn Vincent also deserves some recognition as she scored her first runs of the season.

Sylacauga's win bumped their record up to 10-14. As for Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 7-16.
