Basketball Recap: Ashland Comes Up Short

Ashland and Thurston squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Ashland had to settle for second. They took a 47-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thurston Colts. The Grizzlies' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it eight in a row.

Ashland's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Thurston, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-12.

Coming up, Ashland will head out to take on Churchill at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Ashland is facing Churchill at the right time seeing as Churchill is stuck on a 12-game losing streak. Thurston does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
