Plainfield East took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Naperville Central, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bengals won by a run and slipped past the Redhawks 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bengals have posted against the Redhawks since April 8, 2023.

Kyleigh Schrader looked comfortable as she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.
