Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Arvada). Everything went their way against the Bennett Tigers on Thursday as the Arvada Bulldogs made off with a 21-1 win. Considering the Bulldogs have won six games by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Alyssa Moreno made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). Moreno was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and a triple.

In other batting news, Amiah Picaso was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and a triple. Another player making a difference was Alicia Montoya, who scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Arvada always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .806. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bennett only posted an OBP of .182.

Arvada has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Bennett, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Arvada's road trip will continue as they head out to face Centaurus at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bennett, they will face off against Erie at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Erie will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Bennett surely won't give up without a fight.
