Softball Recap: Cranston East Finds Home Field Redemption Against Davies Career & Tech

There's no place like home for Cranston East, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Davies Career & Tech Patriots by a score of 7-3 on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Thunderbolts: when they faced off against the Patriots on Wednesday, they had to take a 7-6 defeat.

Lexi Montalban spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Nevaeh Fatorma was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Cranston East's record now sits at 6-3. As for Davies Career & Tech, they moved to 6-3 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.
