Boone extended their winning streak  to seven  on Friday, bumping them up to 7-0. They came within six  points of losing the streak, but they secured  a   44-38 W against the Winter Park Wildcats. For the Braves, this counts as revenge for the   35-28 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in November of 2024.
Boone's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Aaron Hardy Jr led the charge by rushing for 180 yards and a pair of  scores while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Hardy Jr's rushing production has been exceptional  as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 134  rushing yards. The team also got some help courtesy of  Garrison Woods, who picked up 151 receiving yards and two  TDs.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Boone was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 212  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 185  rushing yards in five consecutive  contests.
 On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Boone's defensive line and their four sacks.  Will Buzyniski refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5  sacks all by himself. Another thorn in Winter Park's side was  Buzyniski, who picked up  1.5  sacks and made nine total tackles (3.0 for loss).
As for Winter Park, they now  have a losing record of 3-4. As for they,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 3-4.
 Despite the loss, Winter Park still got an impressive performance from   Decorie Johnson, who rushed for 180 yards and three  touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per carry. The Wildcats are 2-1 when  Johnson posts 80 or  more  rushing yards, but 1-3 otherwise.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming  games. Boone will challenge Colonial at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Braves will be up against the Grenadiers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.14  points per  matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Winter Park, they will square off against Ocoee at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Knights' defense has only allowed 11.7  points per game  this season, so the Wildcats' offense will have their work cut out for them.
