Softball Recap: Waukee Extends Home Winning Streak to Ten

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Waukee). They blew past the Urbandale J-Hawks 13-5 on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Warriors needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Waukee pushed their record up to 5-4 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.9 runs over those games. As for Urbandale, they moved to 3-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Waukee beat the J-Hawks by a score of 7-5 later that day.
