Volleyball Recap: Weld Central Has No Trouble Against Bennett + How To Watch

After losing to Bennett the last time they met, Weld Central decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Rebels were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Tigers on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rebels.

Weld Central never let Bennett on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-17, 25-21.

Katelyn Nuanes paced Weld Central's offense, picking up 12 kills. Nuanes were helped by Tegan Huwa and Adalyn Cook, who contributed 15 assists each. Nuanes also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Ava Nolf, each putting up two.

Weld Central's record is now 8-13. As for Bennett, the loss snapped their winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 9-11 record.

Looking ahead, Weld Central will be playing at home against Platte Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bennett, they will challenge Fort Lupton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
