Soccer Game Preview: Great Bend vs. Garden City

Great Bend hasn't had much luck against Garden City recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Panthers are taking a road trip to square off against the Buffaloes. Great Bend has given up an average of 4 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Great Bend is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals last Tuesday, they were much more limited against Liberal on Tuesday. They lost 7-0 to the Redskins.

Meanwhile, Garden City didn't have quite enough to beat Kapaun Mt. Carmel on Saturday and fell 3-2.

Garden City now has a losing record of 1-2-1. As for Great Bend, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Great Bend might still be hurting after the 9-0 defeat they got from Garden City in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
