Softball Recap: Annandale Comes Up Short

Annandale came into this matchup off a tough 13-run defeat two weeks ago. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Mount Vernon Majors by a score of 10-8 on Tuesday. The Atoms were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Majors earlier this season, when they won 11-9.

Annandale dropped their record down to 4-6 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Mount Vernon, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Annandale will welcome Falls Church at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mount Vernon, they will challenge Meridian at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
