Softball Recap: North Central Comes Up Short

North Central fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Ben Davis on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Giants by a score of 11-10. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Giants: they've now lost five in a row.

Kaelee Jacobs was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Maggie Kruegar was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

North Central's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-12. As for Ben Davis, they moved to 3-11 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, North Central will take on Lawrence Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ben Davis, they will square off against Cathedral at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
