Softball Game Preview: Coldspring-Oakhurst Trojans vs. MacArthur Generals

The Coldspring-Oakhurst Trojans will be taking part in a tournament against the MacArthur Generals at 9:10 a.m. on Saturday.

Coldspring-Oakhurst is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They walked away with a 9-5 win over MacArthur on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

Trinity Rosales made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Those hits were her first of the season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Olivia Lee and Jasper Williams did most of the damage at the plate: Lee scored two runs while going 2-for-2, while Williams scored two runs while going 2-for-3. What's more, Lee also posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Camry Barton, who went a perfect3-for-3 with two RBI.

Coldspring-Oakhurst was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .571. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.

The victory got Coldspring-Oakhurst back to even at 2-2. As for MacArthur, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-4-1.
