Basketball Recap: Reno Skates Past Carson with Ease + How To Watch

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Reno's strategy against Carson on Monday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Huskies blew the Senators out of the water with a 66-32 final score. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-16.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Reno to victory, but perhaps none more so than Violet Gordon, who went 6-for-12 on her way to 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The game was Gordon's fifth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eva Houston, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 boards.

Reno smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in five consecutive contests.

Carson lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Natalia Armstrong, who posted nine points.

Reno is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points over those games. As for Carson, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-15.

Reno has already played their next game, a 47-44 defeat against Spanish Springs on the 3rd. As for Carson, they will square off against Douglas at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
