While Freedom's victory against Pleasant Valley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Patriots skirted past the Bears 5-3. The win continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won three in a row.

Darien Serrano made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Colin Andrews, who went 2-for-5 with two triples and one run. Those two triples gave him a new career-high.

Freedom kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 6-2 when they post 11 or more hits.

Freedom now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Pleasant Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

Freedom didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 22-7 victory against Stroudsburg on the 20th. As for Pleasant Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-5 win against Bethlehem Catholic on the 20th.
