Basketball Recap: Islesboro Central Comes Up Short

Islesboro Central lost against Wiscasset back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Islesboro Central Eagles lost to the Wiscasset Wolverines at home by a 64-46 margin. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Islesboro Central now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Wiscasset, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Islesboro Central Eagles take on the North Haven Hawks at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wiscasset, they will head out on the road to square off against Vinalhaven at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wiscasset is facing Vinalhaven at the right time seeing as Vinalhaven is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
