Avon barely beat Rocky River the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles' defense stepped up to hand the Pirates a 4-0 shutout on Monday. Considering Avon have won seven contests by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Rocky River with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Connor Britt, London Carnie, Brayden Carlin, and Cole Veverka.

The win made it two in a row for Avon and bumps their season record up to 10-2-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matchups. As for Rocky River, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6-1.
