Softball Recap: Waldport Comes Up Short

Waldport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Toledo Boomers, falling 19-11. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Irish of the 17-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Waldport's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Toledo, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waldport will take on Bandon/Pacific at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Irish will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season. As for Toledo, they will be playing at home against Eddyville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
