Soccer Game Preview: St. Charles East vs. Geneva

The St. Charles East Fighting Saints will head out to take on the Geneva Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Charles East will be strutting in after a win while Geneva will be coming in after a defeat.

St. Charles East proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by six) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They never let Bartlett get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Give St. Charles East's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Sam Arville, who's now up to nine this season.

Meanwhile, Geneva unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Hersey by a score of 1-0.

St. Charles East has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those five matchups. As for Geneva, their loss dropped their record down to 14-5-2.
