Basketball Recap: Arabia Mountain Takes a Loss

Arabia Mountain and Morrow squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Arabia Mountain had to settle for second. They lost to the Morrow Mustangs on the road by a 63-44 margin.

Despite the loss, Arabia Mountain still got an impressive performance from Angelina Billingsley, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 16 rebounds. Arabia Mountain is 15-6 when Billingsley posts ten or more boards, but 3-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Sha'Nya Heath, who posted 16 points and five rebounds.

Even though they lost, Arabia Mountain smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in five consecutive contests.

Arabia Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Morrow, they pushed their record up to 23-6 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home.

Arabia Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Morrow, they are taking a road trip to face off against River Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. River Ridge will roll in looking for their 25th straight victory, something Morrow surely won't give up without a fight.
