Basketball Game Preview: Braddock Bulldogs vs. Homestead Broncos

The Braddock Bulldogs will challenge the Homestead Broncos on Tuesday. Braddock is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Braddock is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against South Dade on Wednesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Braddock took a blow against South Dade, falling 66-34. The Bulldogs were down 56-28 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Meanwhile, Homestead earned a 48-40 victory over Boynton Beach on Friday. Given the Broncos' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 131st, while the Tigers are ranked 292nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Homestead has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.4 points per game. As for Braddock, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.

Braddock was dealt a bruising 69-23 loss at the hands of Homestead when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Braddock avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
