Basketball Game Preview: Cameron Yellow Jackets vs. Smithville Braves

The Cameron Yellow Jackets will take on the Smithville Braves in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Thursday, Cameron was beaten by Panama 66-18. The loss continues a trend for the Yellow Jackets in their matchups with the Razorbacks: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Smithville put another one in the bag last Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 57-19 win over Antlers. The Braves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 21 points or more this season.

Smithville's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Cameron, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Things could have been worse for Cameron, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-38 loss to Smithville in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Cameron avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
