Softball Recap: Miami Trace Takes a Loss

Miami Trace was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hillsboro Indians. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Panthers have suffered since April 24, 2024.

Gracie Cordell was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Miami Trace's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Hillsboro, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1.

Coming up, Miami Trace will venture away from home to take on Unioto at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hillsboro, they will take on Pickerington North in a tournament on Saturday.
