Fred White leads a balanced attack to beat Cook

Recap: Tift County Blue Devils vs. Cook Hornets

The Tift County Blue Devils won the last time they faced the Cook Hornets, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Tift County came out on top against Cook by a score of 54-41. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up ten more assists than your opponent, as Tift County did.

Tift County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Fred White, who scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points White has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Malachi Evans, who scored ten points.

Several Hornets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bryan Hawkins, who scored nine points along with two steals. Ny'shaun Wallace was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.

Tift County's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Cook, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

Tift County will look to defend their home court on Friday against Houston County at 7:30 p.m. Cook won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Dodge County at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. Dodge County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 377 points over their last five matches.
