Football Recap: Tri-Valley Titans vs. Mackay Miners

On Saturday, Tri-Valley faced Mackay in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Tri-Valley Titans breezed by the Mackay Miners on the road to the tune of 64-0. The Titans pushed the score to 56-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Miners had no chance of recovering from.

Tri-Valley's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. It was truly a group effort as Gage George, Moyne Ingram, and Jace Waggoner picked up one apiece. Waggoner's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 115 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Tri-Valley will square off against Rimrock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tri-Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 point or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Rimrock likes a good challenge. As for Mackay, they will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Rockland at 4:00 p.m. on September 27th.
