Softball Recap: Foard Takes a Loss

Foard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Stephens Indians. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Mattie Leonhardt made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI.

Foard's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for St. Stephens, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

While Foard had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
