Soccer Game Preview: McMinn Central vs. Sequoyah

McMinn Central is 1-9 against Sequoyah since May of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The McMinn Central Chargers are taking a road trip to face off against the Sequoyah Chiefs at 6:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

McMinn Central's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 6-0 margin over Tellico Plains. The Chargers haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Sequoyah got the win against Polk County on Tuesday by a conclusive 4-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chiefs.

The win got Sequoyah back to even at 2-2. As for McMinn Central, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

McMinn Central took their win against Sequoyah when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for McMinn Central since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
