Softball Game Preview: St. Bonaventure Seraphs vs. West Ranch Wildcats

The St. Bonaventure Seraphs will take on the West Ranch Wildcats at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as St. Bonaventure comes in on four and West Ranch on nine.

St. Bonaventure is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They walked away with a 4-1 win over JW North.

Cerritos typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday West Ranch proved too difficult a challenge. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Dons 9-7.

MADISON MEISTER was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of PAYTON BORLAND, who got two hits.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: West Ranch kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in four consecutive matches.

West Ranch pushed their record up to 17-14 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for St. Bonaventure, their win bumped their record up to 17-11.
